Jeremy Todd Adams, 30, faces seven charges including DUI and vehicular homicide following a Friday car accident that killed a Dahlonega man, Georgia State Patrol officials said Wednesday.

Officials said blood results are still pending but it appears Adams, who was driving a 1993 Isuzu Trooper, crossed the center line on Mill Creek Road at 12:35 p.m.

Ray Paul Koehn Sr., who was traveling the opposite direction with his wife Dorothy Koehn, 75, took evasive action but was unable to avoid the collision, officials said.

Ray Paul Koehn died at the scene and Dorothy Koehn was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Sgt. G.R. Harper with the Georgia State Patrol said Friday. Officials at Grady were unable to release Koehn's condition on Wednesday.

Adams and his passenger, Gabrielle Jones, 20, were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, Harper said.

Adams was not admitted and Jones has since been released, hospital officials said Wednesday.

Adams faces charges of DUI, first degree homicide by vehicle, serious injury by vehicle, reckless driving, driving on the wrong side of the road, tire requirements and safety restraint violation, state patrol officials said.
