Motorists could see “large backups” next week as trees are trimmed on Interstate 985, Georgia Department of Transportation district spokeswoman Teri Pope said. DOT maintenance workers are set to do the work Tuesday through Friday between north of exits 16 and 17 to just south of Exit 20. The inside lane of the northbound lanes will be closed as the work occurs.
