The White County Sheriff’s Office is expected to provide more information this morning about a Saturday afternoon shooting that killed a White County 911 dispatcher.

Coroner Ricky Barrett said Sunday that Stephanie Hart, 21, of Toccoa was found dead at 1:30 p.m. at her former home off Lothridge Road, about two to three miles from Ga. 115.

Her body has been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab in Atlanta for an autopsy. The sheriff’s office said no one would be available to talk about the shooting until today.

Barrett said that authorities are looking for a suspect, but he had no further details, other than to say the shooting is under investigation.
