The Georgia Department of Corrections is holding a hiring event April 11 at the East Hall Community Center.
The agency is looking to hire correctional officers for Lee Arrendale State Prison in Alto and Phillips State Prison in Buford.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Applicants will interview, complete a physical training test, take the Accuplacer test, complete a physical examination and, if eligible, receive a hiring package the same day.
Applicants must be 18 years old and U.S. citizens, while also having no felony convictions. They should bring a completed state of Georgia application (available at www.GDCJobs.com), valid driver’s license, birth certificate, Social Security card, high school diploma or GED transcript, SAT/ACT/Compass/Asset/Accuplacer scores and, if POST certified, a copy of his or her post profile.
