Gov. Nathan Deal has appointed Kerry Jackson Cook of Chestnut Mountain to the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Firefighters Pension Fund.

Cook is a 29-year firefighter veteran, retired from the Decatur Fire Department.

He is a former chairman of the Hall County Republican Party and serves as chief bailiff for Judge Gene Roberts in the State Court of Hall County.
