Chris Self, 30, of Dahlonega died Friday after his truck hit a telephone pole, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

The wreck happened around 10:30 a.m. when the Mitsubishi truck Self was driving struck a telephone pole at the intersection of Ga. 9 and Ga. 52, according to Operator Bohannon at the patrol's post in Cumming which worked the wreck. One injury also was reported in the single-vehicle wreck and persons in the truck were not wearing seat belts, Bohannon said.

A report on the wreck has not been completed, so no additional information was available, including the cause of the accident and the number of occupants of the vehicle.
