A prosecutor says a grand jury will investigate a police raid that severely injured a toddler when a flash grenade detonated in the child’s playpen last spring in Cornelia. Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney Brian Rickman said Tuesday that he will present results of an investigation into the botched raid to a grand jury Sept. 29. Rickman told WSB-TV the grand jury is expected to determine whether the raid was handled appropriately, and it could return criminal charges if warranted.
