The city of Cumming has approved its end of a proposed agreement with Forsyth County that involves redirecting some sales tax money. City Council voted Tuesday night to let $5.3 million it’s entitled to from the current 1-cent sales tax program go to the county to build two new parking decks downtown. The first deck would be by the new jail and courthouse and the other on a lot the city owns near Goodson Drug Co.
