Two Gainesville residents have been charged with growing marijuana plants in their home with the intent to distribute the drug, according to a news release from the Multi Agency Narcotics Squad.

Graig Theodore Medon, 33, and Madeline Chelsey Stoddard, 25, face charges of manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and felony possession. They were arrested Saturday in Forsyth County.

A search of their home on Dixon Drive in Gainesville by MANS and Governor's Task Force agents turned up 51 marijuana plants growing in the basement, the release stated. They also found more than 2 pounds of processed marijuana.

The total street value of the drugs seized was estimated at $106,000.

Both suspects were arrested without incident and booked in at the Hall County Jail.
