Coordinator for Safe Kids named to advisory council

Kim Martin, coalition coordinator for Safe Kids Gainesville/Hall County, has been selected to serve as a committee member on the Safe Kids USA Coalition Advisory Council.

The council consists of coalition coordinators who direct the activities of the organization. As a member, Martin will serve a two-year term, working to provide input on proposed Safe Kids strategies.

Martin has been a longtime member of the Gainesville/Hall County coalition, serving as coordinator for the past five years.

She is an LPN, a certified child passenger safety technician instructor, a Georgia Poison Control Center certified poison prevention educator, a Georgia Bureau of Investigation certified cybersafety instructor and a Georgia Teens Ride with P.R.I.D.E. instructor.

Martin serves several organizations including the Lanier Child Passenger Safety Task Force, Georgia Child Passenger Safety Board, Lanier Water Safety Task Force and the Drug Free Coalition of Hall County, among others.
