Publix delivered more than 15,000 pounds of canned and boxed foods to Georgia Mountain Food Bank as a result of the company’s recent Food for Sharing campaign. The campaign is an annual opportunity for Publix customers to give back to their community. This year customers donated $25,587, which was enough to provide six pallets of food to GMFB. “Receiving so many of these ‘staples’ that GMFB relies on to keep our partner agencies’ shelves stocked is an incredible blessing,” said Steve Mueller, operations director at GMFB. “Today’s delivery will go a long way in helping GMFB and our partners combat hunger in our communities this summer.”
