Newsmakers in business: Times' Casas named to class for Leadership Hall County
Shannon Casas
Shannon Casas

Times Managing Editor Shannon Casas is one of the 40 community members who will take part in the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce’s 2017-18 Leadership Hall County.

The program was founded in 1983 and exposes current and potential leaders to the interrelated economic, government, sociocultural and educational issues of the community.

Casas has been with The Times since 2006 in varying roles.

Participants develop knowledge of the community through a series of sessions covering arts, education, health and social services, city and state governments, the judicial branch and economic development.

Each year local nonprofit agencies present service project ideas to the class, and the class then decides the project it will undertake. There are more than 800 graduates of Leadership Hall County.
