The Murrayville processing facility of Springer Mountain Farms is the Georgia Association of Water Professionals’ 2017 Industrial Plant of the Year for Water Pollution Prevention and Waste Minimization. The top honor was given during the recent GAWP Industrial Conference and Expo in Athens.

The Murrayville plant had to undergo an extensive audit from a GAWP panel of industry peers, which focused on areas such as pollution prevention systems, conservation of natural resources, recycling and waste management. David Rackley, plant manager, received the award.

During the awards ceremony, the panel highlighted a number of findings that stood out during the inspection.
