Richard Beaubien, a 1982 North Hall High School graduate, is the new enrollment management vice president at Hiwassee College in Madisonville, Tenn.

Beaubien was born and raised in North Georgia, but he has lived and worked in many places, including Los Angeles, Germany, China and Russia.

He graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in German literature in 1995 and a master’s degree in applied linguistics in 1997.

Beaubien worked and taught for five years at Mercer University in Atlanta, as well as 12 years at Georgia State University/Perimeter College in charge of recruitment, admissions and international student advising.
