Gainesville Eye Associates has added Dr. Stephen Ellison to its optometry staff.

Ellison earned his doctorate at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. He is a magna cum laude graduate from the University of Georgia with a degree in biology. His internships trained him in treatment and management of diseases such as retina, cornea and glaucoma. His areas of interest include treating patients with dry eye and corneal diseases and he has experience fitting specialty contact lenses.

He joins his wife, Dr. Elizabeth Ellison, on Gainesville Eye Associates’ optometry staff. She joined the practice a year ago.
