Debbie Cofer has been promoted to general manager of Adams Transfer & Storage.
Cofer directs the household and commercial moving and warehousing divisions, focusing on all aspects of management, including training, staffing and daily operations of all divisions.
Cofer has been an executive level manager with The Adams Companies for 20 years. She was general manager of Adams Data Management, overseeing Gainesville and Atlanta operations, where she developed and implemented procedures while managing 37 full-time staff.
Following the sale of the information management division, Cofer managed the commercial warehousing division of Adams Transfer, where she oversaw the creation of the asset inventory management service, Corporate Storage.
She attained her Certified Office and Industrial Consultant designation from the American Moving and Storage Association in 2015.
Adams Transfer & Storage, among the oldest family-owned moving companies in the United States, has been honored twice as Georgia’s Family Business of the Year and was recently honored as Best Customer Service, Professional Services, by The Times’ readership in the “Best of North Georgia” 2016.
