Youth representing Future Farmers of America chapters and 4-H clubs from Banks, Barrow, Franklin, Hall, Jackson, Madison and Oglethorpe counties competed in Jackson Electric Membership Corporation’s 47th annual Quality Beef Show. In total, there were 56 young people and 85 animals for ribbons and cash prizes at the event at Jackson County Comprehensive High School Livestock Center in Jefferson.

Jackson EMC is a not-for-profit electric cooperative that has been hosting the Quality Beef Show since 1969 to honor the contribution the agriculture industry makes to the Northeast Georgia’s economy, as well as encourage leadership and competitive spirit among young people.
