High school students received awards for their artwork in the Women’s State High School Art and Design Competition, which offers more than $40,000 in Brenau University scholarships and $1,000 in cash prizes, in November.

North Georgia Christian School student Helena “Lanie” Robertson won the People’s Choice Award and collected a $2,000 scholarship for her piece “Front Porch.”

Gainesville High students Sophie Goode and Yasmin Rebollar each received a $2,000 scholarship and a $50 cash prize.

Goode’s piece was titled “500 Miles,” and Rebollar’s was “Land to Nowhere.”
