A widespread search for the new president and chief executive officer of North Georgia Community Foundation has begun. Jim Mathis is retiring as the group’s president and CEO in December after serving in those roles since 1998. The philanthropic foundation strives to strengthen the community and nonprofit organizations through grants from donors and agency funds and create relationships among more than 300 charities in the area.
