Mincey Marble’s rezoning proposal for a new plant in West Hall now will be heard by the Hall County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 13. The board voted Thursday night on the delay but also agreed with Commissioner Jeff Stowe’s suggestion that “there will be a public hearing at that point or (the proposal) will be withdrawn by the applicant.” Upon hearing the suggestion, applause broke out across the audience, which included some 150 people who showed in opposition to Mincey’s plans, many wearing red shirts.
