Hall County Fire Services is still investigating a suspicious Sept. 7 fire that destroyed a 15,000-square-foot home in North Hall, but officials are having trouble getting in touch with the bank that owns the property.

“We have attempted a couple of times and keep getting hung up on with no return calls,” Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle said in a news release.

He said the department has interviewed numerous people and have some “decent leads, but nothing concrete.”

The fire occurred in the 6200 block of Grant Ford Road at about 3 in the morning. The home had previous signs of vandalism.

Anyone with information can contact the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office at 770-531-6838 or the Arson Tip Hotline at 800-282-5804. If information leads to an arrest, the Georgia Arson Control Board will pay a reward, based on the case and circumstances, that could reach as high as $10,000.
