West Academy Street from Washington Street to Oak Street reopened Wednesday afternoon.

Bricks fell from the chimney of 332 Washington St. Monday afternoon, falling onto the sidewalk and street below, leading the city of Gainesville to close the section of road until the hazard could be repaired.
