Clermont lights the fuse on fall fun
Towns annual event includes parade, fireworks, road races and car show

If you’re looking for something fun to do with the family today, head out to the Clermont Days Festival for a day full of activities, entertainment, fireworks and more.“We have arts and crafts, a 5K run and 1K run. We got the parade going on at 1 p.m.” event chairman and Clermont Councilman John Brady said.The lineup for the race begins at 7 a.m., with start time between 8:45 a.m. and 9 a.m.There will be live music performances throughout the day.“We got all kinds of groups playing,” Brady said. “After dark, we got a fireworks show.”In addition, there will be other activities for children, vendors’ booths and food, plus a car show at 2 p.m.According to Brady, Clermont Historical Society will provide display of how the city looked in the 1950s, and will talk about the city’s history back from when it was known as Dip.“We also got a bake sale,” Brady said.
