A group of 11 Uzbekistanis, including farmers, businessmen and a representative of the country’s Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management recently visited Lanier Technical College to learn about its refrigeration program. The group was visiting the U.S. to study best practices for growing, harvesting, storing, transporting and selling fruits and vegetables, according to a news release from Lanier Tech. Lanier Tech is the official ammonia refrigeration training partner of the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses, which assisted in setting up the visit.
