Hall County’s Friendship Elementary School has been recognized as one of the best in Buford.
The school was selected for the 2014 Best of Buford award in the elementary school category by the Buford Award Program.
The annual awards program identifies companies and schools that “have achieved exceptional marketing success,” a news release stated.
“These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community.”

3 Hall students named 2014 Georgia Scholars
Hall County students Anna Black, Morgan Ivey and Drew Smith are three of the 116 high school seniors from across the state recognized as 2014 Georgia Scholars, by the Georgia Department of Education.
The seniors recognized are honored by achieving excellence “in school and community life,” a news release states.
The students are expected to have carried and performed well in an academically challenging course load, while being active in volunteer and extracurricular work.
The scholars receive a special seal for their high school diploma.
Black is a Flowery Branch High School student. Ivey and Smith attend Chestatee High.
“There is only one thing I can say about our 116 Georgia Scholars, and that is I am so proud to call each of you a student in the state of Georgia,” State School Superintendent John Barge said in the release. “I know this honor is, for each of you, the result of many years of hard work, perseverance and dedication.”
