An early morning fire Tuesday destroyed a home on Carolina Street in the New Holland community. The fire, reported around 5:55 a.m., caused about $125,000 damage to a two-story house, Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said. A child treated for smoke inhalation at the scene is doing fine, he said.
