Gainesville City Council is prepared to enter into an agreement next week with the Gainesville and Hall County Development Authority for construction of a road in the Chicopee Mill Industrial Center that will open property for development. Officials from the Development Authority have been working to finalize costs and get the project underway for a few months. Plans to award a road construction contract to Allied Paving were put on hold when initial bids came in over budget.
