Chestatee coach suspended amid ‘unspecified allegations’
Web Daniel

Chestatee High School head girls basketball coach Web Daniel has been suspended pending an inquiry into unspecified allegations, according to Hall County Schools spokesman Gordon Higgins.

Administration met with members of the girls basketball team Friday to inform them of the situation, Higgins said.

“Web Daniel, head girls basketball coach, will be away from the team for a time due to an administrative inquiry. During this time Chris Guthrie will lead the team along with Leigh Wilson and current coaches Robert Hernandez and Lauren Pounds. We will keep you informed as we have more information,” Higgins said in an email to The Times.

Higgins said since this is a personnel matter, the district would have no further comment at this time. Higgins said the school system will be cooperating with authorities.
