The Hall-Dawson Court-Appointed Special Advocates Program is seeking nominations for its Champion for Children Award. Nominations are due by Friday.

The award “recognizes the dedication and excellence of those individuals and organizations who invest their resources, in volunteer or professional service, to create a significant, positive impact on the lives of abused and neglected children in the Hall and Dawson County communities,” according to a press release from the group.

Nominations can be submitted at www.halldawsoncasa.org. Any individual or organization that has made an impact on abused or neglected children in Hall or Dawson in the past two years may be nominated.

The award will be presented at the nonprofit’s Oct. 20 CASAblanca fundraiser, which will have a tailgate party theme featuring food and music. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite team colors.

For more information about nominations or the CASAblanca event, call Janet Walden or Heather Hammontree at 770-531-1964.
