When Shane Cheek saw a car had crashed through the front of his pawn shop Tuesday morning, he was expecting the worst. Sitting at home looking at the security cameras for Doctor Cash Coin & Pawn off Winder Highway in Oakwood after receiving a call from his alarm company, he couldn’t help but think it was a “smash-and-grab” robbery unfolding, similar to others recently where guns were taken. It turned out the driver had a seizure before crashing into the store, authorities said.
