Spout Springs Elementary School is planning "Camp Invention," which provides science enrichment through hands-on activities, for June 9-13.

The program, which is being presented by area teachers, is set to run 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day. It’s open to students currently in kindergarten through fifth grade.

The camp, created by the National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation with support from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, aims to develop student creativity, teamwork and decision-making skills.

Students will learn some basic principles of science, engineering and creative problem-solving.

The school is at 6640 Spout Springs Road.
