Alfrex, a manufacturer of fireproof exterior panels, will bring its North American headquarters, along with sales and manufacturing facilities, to Hall County, with plans to create 30 jobs in Buford.
The company will invest $6.2 million in the 85,000-square-foot facility and will be the first tenant to sign a lease with the new 985 Lanier Logistics Center. The 112-acre business park is off of Lanier Islands Parkway, about a half-mile from Interstate 985.
Alfrex is a U.S. subsidiary of the Korean manufacturer Unience.
“We are very excited to be opening a new facility in Georgia, as our humble initiative and belief in our work has led us to become a global company,” Cheolhwan Kim, president of Alfrex, said in a statement. “Our commitment is to hiring talented individuals and making a positive contribution in the communities where we operate, with a focus on sustainability.”
The facility is set to reach full production in March 2020.
