Frontera joins Gainesville's Neurology Physician Group
Dr. John Frontera has joined the practice of Neurology Physician Group. Frontera is a board-certified neurologist who specializes in performing and interpreting nerve conduction studies and polysomnograms.

He received his undergraduate degree from State University of New York at Binghamton and his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Frontera went on to treat members and veterans of the U.S. military, as well as their families, while practicing at four other military medical centers.

He most recently served as the director of electrophysiology and the sleep lab at Berwick Hospital Center in Berwick, Pa.

Frontera is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also a member of the American Academy of Neurology.

Neurology Physician Group is located at 592A Medical Park Drive in Gainesville and sees patients at The Braselton Clinic, inside Medical Plaza 1 at River Place at 5875 Thompson Mill Road, near the Village at Deaton Creek.

Akemon joins Village Nursing Care as supervisor
Village Nursing Care has announced the addition of Sandra Akemon as its home services supervisor.

Akemon is a registered nurse, having received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at West Virginia University. She has nearly 40 years in health care, having worked in hospitals, urgent care, nursing homes and in private home care.

Village Nursing Care is a licensed private home care provider in 13 Northeast Georgia counties, and is an entity of ACTS Retirement-Life Communities, which also owns Lanier Village Estates.

Biddy joins staff of Rushton & Co. in payroll
Lorie Biddy has joined Rushton & Co. as a payroll associate. Her responsibilities include handling all aspects of client payroll, payroll tax processing and quarterly tax processing.

A graduate of Jacksonville State University, she has 15 years of bookkeeping and office management experience.

Biddy and her husband, Shane, have two sons, Christopher, 16, and Cody, 15. She is a member of Free Chapel Worship Center and enjoys reading, arts and crafts, college football and spending time with the elderly.

Owens joins The Longstreet Clinic Internal Medicine
The Longstreet Clinic has announced that Paige E. Owens has joined the Department of Internal Medicine as a certified nurse practitioner.

Owens graduated from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She earned her master's degree in nursing from Kennesaw State University. She has worked as a family nurse practitioner in Demorest for the past seven years.

Owens is certified by the American Nursing Credentialing Center. She also is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Emory grad Robertson joins Stewart Melvin & Frost
Jennifer I. Robertson has joined Stewart Melvin & Frost, a Gainesville law firm.

Robertson, who graduated from Emory University School of Law, will work in both transactional and litigation matters.

The Morton Grove, Ill., native spent two years working in complex business litigation upon earning her undergraduate degree from Duke University. While at Emory, Robertson worked as an intern with the U.S. Department of Labor and served as a summer associate with Stewart Melvin & Frost.

At Emory, she was on the board of the Legal Association for Women Students, while also participating in the Hispanic Law Society, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the Student Legal Services and the International Law Society.
