Longstreet Clinic earns facility accreditation
The Longstreet Clinic's Health Resource and Appearance Center (The Shoppe) has earned accreditation by The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics.

After submission of the application in January and completion of a site survey in April, The Shoppe earned a score of 99 out of 100 earlier this month through the efforts of Michelle Arouri, an ABC certified fitter mastectomy, and Cathy Jarrells, a BOC certified mastectomy fitter.

The accreditation is for organizations that provide patient care for the selection, fit and delivery of post-mastectomy prostheses and related garments. Accreditation also is required for practices like The Longstreet Clinic who provide post-mastectomy prostheses to Medicare beneficiaries.

The Shoppe employs certified fitters specially trained to fit bras, breast forms and wigs, as well as compression therapy products such as stockings, sleeves and gloves. Other specialty products offered include nonmetallic deodorant, oncology shampoo and skin care products to turbans, scarves, maternity supports and nursing bras.
