NGHS’ Burrell elected to state Board of Trustees Carol Burrell, president and chief executive officer of Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Hospital Association at the association’s annual convention Nov. 14 in Atlanta. Burrell has been part of the senior management team of NGHS since 1999 and served as executive vice president and chief operating officer from 2004 to 2011. She was named president and CEO in 2011.
