Webb joins Peach State Bank as officer
Tracie S. Webb has joined Peach State Bank & Trust and will serve as remote deposit capture officer.
Webb earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Brenau University in 1997. She began her banking career in 1988 in Northeast Georgia including service in the Gainesville area, and brings to Peach State Bank more than 14 years of banking experience.

Davis completes turf management course
Richard L. Davis, owner of Evergreen Turf Pros, has completed "Principles of Turfgrass Management" through the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education and the Professional Lawn Care Association of America.
The course is designed for industry professionals, including those affiliated with lawn care companies, public parks and recreation areas, golf courses, cemeteries, athletic fields and other turf facilities.
Courtyard hotel coming to Mall of Georgia
Atlanta-based Hotel Equities has announced plans for its newest hotel, a Courtyard by Marriott at 1405 Mall of Georgia Boulevard, off Ga. 20, west of Interstate 85. Located less than half a mile from the Mall of Georgia, the hotel will stand four stories tall and feature 110 rooms. The hotel is expected to open in late 2008.
"Hotel Equities is proud to bring a Courtyard by Marriott hotel to the Mall of Georgia market," said Fred Cerrone, chairman and chief executive. "We are pleased to expand our special brand of hospitality to the growing Gwinnett area of Atlanta where demand for quality lodging is strong."
Krueger completes feedmaster training
Steve Krueger of Southern States has attended training to qualify as a "Certified FeedMaster Specialist" in North Georgia.
The program prepares employees on issues related to feeding various types of beef cattle. It provides new and updated information and qualifies for continuing education units by the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists, a national organization that certifies animal scientists through examination.
Southern States is a Richmond, Va., based farm supply and service cooperative.
