Marshall Christian joins MSE Branded Foods
Marshall Christian has joined MSE Branded Foods as vice president of business development.
Christian is responsible for new business, primarily in the hospital, airport, and nontraditional environments.
He has worked with several international firms including Citicorp, Bank of America and General Electric. He holds an MBA from Mercer University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama.
MSE Branded Foods provides turnkey food service for airports, hospitals, universities, and other nontraditional environments throughout the United States.
Timothy Carey receives additional board certifications
Dr. Timothy M. Carey of the Longstreet Clinic has received board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the sub-specialities of hematology and medical oncology.
The American Board of Internal Medicine sets the standards and certifies the knowledge, skills and attitudes of physicians who practice in internal medicine and its sub specialties.
Already board-certified in internal medicine, Carey joined the Longstreet Cancer Center in 2007, after graduating from the Medical College of Georgia and completing residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Allison selected as new president of Mountain Valley Community Bank
The Board of Directors of Mountain Valley Community Bank has elected Donald E. Allison as bank president. He will continue to retain his duties as chief credit officer.
Allison, a native of White County, began his banking career at White County Bank in 1978. He earned a business degree from Truett McConnell College in 1981 and a finance degree from the University of Georgia in 1983. He also holds an MBA from Brenau University.
Allison also serves as a director for Mountain Valley Community Bank as well as Mountain Valley Bancshares. He is a director of the Georgia Mountain Regional Economic Development Corp. and as a board member for the North Georgia Technical College Foundation. He is married to the former Rose Mariee Knight and they have two sons, William and Edward. The Allisons live in the Blue Creek community of White County.
The Board of Directors also announced that Marc J. Greene will remain CEO of Mountain Valley Community Bank and President and CEO of Mountain Valley Bancshares. This move will give Greene expanded responsibilities at the holding company level.
Crawford named banking officer at Mountain Valley Community Bank
Virginia Crawford has been promoted to banking officer at Mountain Valley Community Bank. Crawford has more than 30 years of banking experience starting as a teller in Las Vegas, Nev., in 1970. She joined Mountain Valley in 2004.
"Virginia has done a great job of building a team of quality bankers to handle the growing customer base of Mountain Valley Community Bank," said Marc Greene, CEO of the bank.
