Assistant circuit defender named among 10 young lawyers to watch in Georgia

Brett Willis, an assistant circuit defender who practices criminal defense work for the Northeastern Judicial Circuit Public Defender in Hall County, recently was named as one of 10 Georgia lawyers under the age of 40 who are "on the rise."

Willis, 33, was honored by the Daily Report, an Atlanta-based publication widely read in Georgia's legal community.

The Daily Report cited Willis' trial preparation, energy and commitment to indigent defense work.
Willis, a graduate of Florida State University and the University of Georgia School of Law, has been with the Northeastern Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office since 2005.
