Wimberly buys, remodels Greenlee’s Funeral Home
Greenlee’s Funeral Home is nearing the completion of a major face-lift of its facility on Summit Street.
The Rev. Christopher Wimberly, a Winder native who purchased the business in November, said he is updating the interior, which includes a visitation parlor, a chapel, a casket showroom and family conference room.
Wimberly, 30, has worked for former owner Margaret Greenlee for the past 10 years. The business was founded by the Greenlee family in 1938.
"Our goal is to give comfort to families during their time of bereavement," Wimberly said. "We want to make it easier for them during this difficult time."
Wimberly is pastor of the Hunter Hill Baptist Church in Atlanta. He has preached numerous revivals in the Gainesville area.
