The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center has scheduled two business training classes this month at its office in The Lanier Tech Featherbone Center, 999 Chestnut St., Gainesville.

"Starting A Business — The Basics" is set for 4 p.m. Sept. 16, the first of a two-part series. This class is a must for those interested in owning their own business and want to learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur. There is no charge for Part 1.

The second part, "How to Write A Business Plan," is set for 6-9 p.m. Sept. 23. The fee is $69. Participants will learn how to develop strategic components of a business plan that include business management, marketing and financial strategy.
