A discarded cigar is believed to have caused a 10-acre brush fire near four North Hall homes Sunday afternoon.

No injuries were reported according to Hall County Fire Services.

The Georgia Forestry Commission helped put out the fire in the 3400 block of Southview Trail, which is west of Clarks Bridge Road and north of Stancil Road.

“Crews are putting out hot spots,” Hall Fire Services Capt. Zachary Brackett said. “(Georgia) Forestry is plowing a break around the fire so any remaining fire will be contained.”
