Burn ban lifted in Hall County
Placeholder Image

As of Thursday, Hall County residents can again burn yard debris with proper permits.

Residential burn permits allow residents to burn leaves and tree limbs no bigger than 3 inches in diameter. Call 770-536-2442 and follow the automated instructions to get a permit for the day.

A land clearing burn permit allows the clearing of land and trees and requires an inspection from the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office. You also must have a pit and air curtain destructor before you can start burning.

To obtain this permit, call the Fire Marshal’s Office 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, giving 24 hours notice to ensure your inspection.

Agricultural burns are permitted for crops; clearing trees for a pasture requires a land clearing burn permit.
For more information, call the Fire Marshal’s Office at 770-531-6838.
