Broken gas line changes way home for some Gainesville students
Gainesville School Board Office

A broken gas line on Cleveland Highway led to a change in how to get some Gainesville City School System students home Wednesday.

The road has now reopened in both directions after being closed at both Lakeland Road and Limestone Parkway.

With the street blocked off in the area near Sunset Heights subdivision, students who live in that subdivision will be transported to the GCSS Transportation Department at 816 Woods Mill Road and should be picked up there.

Elementary students can be picked up at 3:30 p.m. and middle and high school students at 4 p.m.
