Brenau University on Tuesday announced some administrative shuffling.

David Morrison has been promoted to vice president for communications and publications.

Brenau also reinstated titles for Jim Southerland, who will be provost and vice president of academic affairs. He is responsible for all academic policies and procedures, hiring and overseeing faculty, and development of curriculum and academic programs.

“It is the kind of streamlining Brenau needs ... as the university moves closer to a major fundraising campaign,” Schrader said in a news release.

Brenau plans to double its enrollment to about 5,000 students in a little more than a decade, with much of that growth occurring in graduate school and programs on regional campuses as well as a wide range of online and hybrid online/on campus programs for master’s and doctoral degrees.
