Brenau University’s homecoming parade will begin circling the “Brenau Mile” at 4 p.m. Saturday.

The public event will lead to road closures along Academy Street, Boulevard, Spring Street, Perry Street and Prior Street from 3:45-4:45 p.m.

A drum line and about a dozen floats will be part of the parade, and Brenau President Ed Schrader and his chocolate lab Jake will lead the way.

The route starts at the John S. Burd Center for the Performing Arts and takes a right turn at Boulevard. After left-hand turns at Washington and Prior streets, the parade ends at the Brenau Trustee Library on Academy Street.
