A Braselton woman was killed and her 5-year-old injured in a South Hall wreck Thursday evening, according to authorities. Melissa Speer, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene on Union Church Road, according to Georgia State Patrol. Speer’s son was transported to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta-Egleston with nonlife-threatening injuries. Sean Heenan, 30, of Dacula and Jackies Waters, 53, and Philip Watkins, 21, both of Lula, were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries.
