Braselton police seek to ID robbery suspect

Braselton Police are seeking to identify a person they say robbed the Best Western on Zion Church Road about 3:45 p.m. on Monday, July 15. Police said he was armed with a Tec 22-style handgun.

Braselton police are seeking the public's help in identifying an armed robbery suspect.

Police say an "unknown male" robbed the Best Western in the 300 block of Zion Church Road about 3:45 p.m. on Monday, July 15, according to a release from Sgt. J. Cox of the Braselton Police Department.

According to the release, the person appears to be between 5'10" and 6 feet tall and weigh more than 250 pounds. He was last seen in a gold or tan four-door passenger vehicle with tinted windows. One rear window has black plastic covering it. According to police, an eyewitness could not be sure if the vehicle was a car or an SUV.

Police said the suspect was armed with a handgun, possibly a Tec 22, with a clear magazine.

No one was injured. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
