Body pulled from Lake Lanier identified as Snellville man
29-year-old drowns at Van Pugh Park in 20 feet of water

A man’s body was recovered Tuesday evening from Lake Lanier by authorities.

Hall County Fire Services said the body of a Robert St. Louis, 29, of Snellville, was retrieved after 6 p.m. Tuesday at Van Pugh North Day Use on Lake Lanier. The department had received a call at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday.

The body was found in roughly 20 feet of water.

“This was an apparent, witnessed drowning,” Capt. Zachary Brackett wrote in an email.
