Divers have recovered the body of a 45-year-old Atlanta man who apparently drowned Sunday in Amicalola Creek near Dawsonville, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Law Enforcement Division reported. A diver with the Dawson County dive team found the body of Ramiro Ponce-Ruiz at 12:53 p.m. today. Ponce-Ruiz had been swimming with family and friends Sunday afternoon at Devil's Elbow on Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area.
