Air horns, diesel engines and an occasional siren out-blasted the amplified music Saturday in City Park as children climbed on trucks and heavy equipment at the 15th annual Touch a Truck event. Twenty-seven vehicles came this year and kid turnout was good, said Missy Bailey, recreation manager for Gainesville Parks and Recreation, sponsor of the free event. “Kids love a truck,” Bailey said.
